Troop 20/20 Meetings
Troop Meetings
Every Thursday at 7PM at the Vernon Elks Lodge Carriage House (directions
to the Elks Lodge). Meetings are not held on Vernon school holidays or
vacations. Troop Leadership understands Scouts have many demands for their
time, so we try to accommodate those with other activities. If there is a
conflict, please try to attend part of the meeting, so you can at least hear
announcements.
Scouts are expected to bring their Boy Scout Handbook to all Troop meetings.

All Scouts must be in
uniform for scheduled meetings and activities (unless announced otherwise
for specific events). Troop 20/20 uniform requirements are:

Inclement
Weather
When Vernon schools are cancelled due to snow or ice (or any other reason
schools are closed) there will be no Scout Meeting.
Patrol
Meeting
Dates and times will be set by
the Patrol. The Patrol Leader is
responsible for informing the Junior Assistant Scout Master (JASM) as to the
time and place of each Patrol Meeting. The JASM will ensure that a senior is present at each Patrol Meeting.
Troop Committee
Meetings
Ever wish you had
more notice prior to a Troop 20/20 event? Troop events are discussed at
committee meetings well ahead of being announced at a Troop meeting, since
many events require months of planning! Meetings are open to anyone, not
just committee members. Attending a committee meeting is a great way to stay
informed of what's going on 'behind the scenes' and a great time to make
your voice heard about things going on with our Troop. Committee meetings
are held monthly, usually on the fourth Tuesday evening at 7:30 pm, at
Scoutmaster Bill Magnotta's house. See our Calendar for dates & times, or
for more information, contact Bill Magnotta or any Committee Member.
